Wall colors- decoration colors?

hi all, please help, i need to decide the colors for my home, interior colors, i have 1 living room (curtains are light orange), 1 master bed room (curtains are cream), big reciption consist of 2 big areas can be two individual colors or otherwise please advise wher i can get a photos for that issue, illustrations, color gallery......etc
please put into consideration that i need to make others see my apartment large wide and modern.

you should play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think the color "jargon jade" (# 6753) would look fab with the cream curtains in the bedroom.

You can paint your apartment a light orance and creme and furnish it with mod style furniture and modern accents. I think that painting half the wall (the top portion) one color (creme) and the bottom part the darker color (orange) will give a dramatic impact. I would get light colored furniture, too...like beige or creme so that way it will blend in with another paint color, if you ever decided to repaint.

I think that if the curtains in your living room match your furniture, keep them. Otherwise, get new ones. I think the painting technique would be awesome becuase it's rarely done, shows creativity and helps furnish a house on a budget.

I personally like silver and chrome accents with creme and orange; it gives it a modern feel. But gold also works.

Get some stuff from Pier One...try to find one of their outlets..you can usually get a good deal.

As for the bedroom, I would paint it a very light aqua and put up some sheer aqua and white curtains, get a new bedspread and sheets with aqua/teal/navy blue in them. Blues have a calming affect: that is what you want when you are in bed. I paitined my bedroom minty blue with aqua accents and in the summer, I feel like I am in a pool..I just float. It is very relaxing, my bedroom.
