Does storing images on Rw-dvd reduces its quality ?

I sore some of my data on a DVD-R or +r , I also have a RW dvd to update my photo/video galleries , my qustion is , are the photos and videos stored on a RW DVD is less quality than those storen in a DVD-r ? does the quality of the photos reduce since I reused the RW more than 5 times ? is the data stored in DVD-RW is exactly the same as the original ?

The photos and videos you store on the DVD-RW will be the exact same quality as those on a DVD-R. The only difference is the DVD-RW can be erased and used again.

As long as your RW DVD is still able to write without errors the quality will not diminish.

The jury is still out on the life expectancy of DVDs. A lot depends on proper storage. They need to be dry and not too hot.

The question of life is largely centered about DVDs that are burned like you do on your computer. When you burn a DVD you use a laser to heat and displace a layer of plastic that may have some memory and want to return to its original unburned state. It is generally agreed they will not last as long as the commercially pressed DVDs.

We may not know for sure for many years but the consensus is that a burned DVD properly stored will last 20 years or more.

They will be the same quality. One thing to bear in mind is tthat a RW can only be written to a finite number of times (about 1000 if I remember correctly)
