How can I rid myself of Internet Explorer, and other Vista "thorns in my sides"?

FOR GOOD! I can not find it in add/remove programs. The combination of Vista and Internet Explorer does not work. For as many times as it has frozen up, info sent to Microsoft, they have not come up with a solution. I would like it gone! Also, is there a way to get rid of Windows Movie Maker, Media Player and Windows Photo Gallery? Never use these and just takes up space. Movie Maker isn't functional, anyway. Thanks in advance.

Ok even I had to do a bit of looking it seems you cant remove any of that crap on Vista. Iv yet to try myself so no shocker... Its a part of the OS on Vista so its impossible to remove without tweaking the hell out of your OS and risking some damage. However you can turn them off I guess.

Go to control panel select programs. Then from there select programs and features. Once that opens up on the left side bar select the button turn windows features on or off accept the uac then you can go through the list and remove what you dont want and it will turn it off. :\ Vista is so lame sometimes...
