HELP! How do I delte this picture?

alright guys, I'm using someone elses computer and it's a windows vista and im having a bit of trouble with it since I've never used one before. but anyways, i downloaded a picture from my yahoo mail and it went to windows photo gallery and thern i saved it to my pictures, well, it won't let me delete it because it says it's being used by another program and it's not! what do I do?

Restart the computer, then you'll be able to delete it.

restart your computer so that the computer will be refreshed and then youll be able to delete the picture. i get this problem too.

If windows photo gallery is open while you're trying to delete the picture, then that's the "program that's using it." Close photo gallery. Then it should delete. Otherwise, restarting the computer should work.

you dont need to restart the comp.
when you try to delete a file and it says its being used by another program this means that you have opened the pic already. windows (all versions, xp, vista whatever) will not be able to delete something while it is open.

to solve this just close windows photo gallery (or close all windows just to be safe then click the windows sign (in the bottem left corner and click on my photos. then from here just find the photo and delete it.
