Custom Family Photo DVD's - Why are they not selling?

I create custom DVD's for people.

Now I know people can get software and do this themselves, but some don't know how or do they have the time.

I've done this a lot with members of my own family and close friends. They have gotten such high praise that I decided to start my own business.

So I have been putting these up on Ebay really cheap to help get testimonies and stuff like that. So far only 1 has sold and that person never sent me her photos even after a month of waiting.

I have had to relist these about 4 times now.

Most places offer these for $60 or more! That is for just one show & hardly any photos.

I am offering way more than others. Search for yourself online and you'll see.

So why are they not selling?

My suggestion, and this is totally only based on your Ebay auction (the ABC video) is that, when watching the YouTube example, I nearly fell off my chair. All those letters and pictures spinning around were a little dizzying.

I think you are doing most things right... but it is a huge market and a lot of people are doing this. Your prices are okay, but if it meant paying 10-15 more, for an established business to do the video, I might go with them.

Perhaps you could try selling a few for "cost". As you said, you want the testimonials, so in order to get them, you might have to do some really cheap as an intro price.

You also may want to consider your local market. There are always baby shows to attend to show off your product. Perhaps, your local baby stores, and others have bullitin boards you can put your adds on.
