Yahoo! Photos closing... which alternative is better/best? Ummm... Flickr is a Yahoo company, so I'm guessing that's why they're removing Yahoo photos. Why run two sites at once? Flickr is a decent photo sharing site with decent commenting and features, but it's not great and I believe you have to pay for certain features and storage limits. I prefer Shutterfly hands down for hosting and developing photos/gifts. They have fast shipping, excellent customer service, cheap prices, frequent coupons/discounts, and a VERY user-friendly site. They are constantly adding features and options based on customer suggestions, something you won't find at other photo sites. You get unlimited storage (I have about 7 gigs on there right now), and I think their photo book and print-ordering interfaces are by far the best. Some people are using Flickr,Photo-buckets, i haven't tried any of it yet,so i can't declare any of your option s as "the best". I have always really liked Snapfish. They have really good prices, they ship fast. they are very reliable, etc. I'd recommend it to anyone (and have, a lot of my friends use it as well). I did some research and found things I didn't like about all the choices Yahoo gave its users. I have over 2,000 photos on Yahoo Photos, and I ended up choosing a site called SmugMug. It costs about $40 per year, but they were well-reviewed by a variety of sources.
