Sad that pictures of children are seen as porn? |
Is anyone else depressed that photos which used to be seen as innocent family images are now lept all over as porn and indecent (specifically the news about the photos in the exhibition in Newcastle) there are loads of photos of me as a kid running around with just a pair of wellies on, I have no shame in showing these to people as I was a kid! For the huge majority of the populartion there is no sexual side to these sort of photos does this kind of ruling mean that we can't let our kids be naked? will my parents, if the photos are even seen, be accused of being perverts? - heaven forbid the film of me and my sisters in the bath be found!! I appreciate that it's a public gallery but the fact that these photos are owned by Elton John has nothing to do with anything, why is it such big news? Are they going to suggest that he is some sort of peodophile? if it had been a photo of a naked woman, it would probably have been totaly acceptable i totally agree, i when to my 4 year old niece,s dance class on Saturday,i took my camera with me , but was told no one is allowed to take pics,not even the parents!, like you my mum has lots of pic of me and my siblings, in the bath, at the beach,it make me so angry that, these few sick people have caused this new law that we all have to live with!! excellent question!I agree.. when we were younger we had loads of photos and videos which would now be classed as pornography and my parents reported... I had pictures of me dancing in the garden in my underwear, pictures of me and my sister in the bath etc... I have heard they aren't even letting parents film nativity plays at school any more and there is absolutely nothing sexual about that! We do however have to be careful who we show these photos to... I'm not saying that there are many people out there who will see these pictures in a sexual way but there certainly are people out there like that and I wouldn't want them looking at my child in that way... There shouldn't be any reason though why we can't take these pictures/films for family to keep though As for them complaining about the photos being used by Elton John... that's just naive people who think that gay people are more likely to be paedophiles/all gay people are paedophiles I totally agree with you.I have a pic of me (about 2-3 yrs old) with nothing on except a big leaf covering me.I've always thought it was cute,but now I'm not so sure.Sad huh? It's only porn to a paedophile to any normal person it's innocent i agree i went into bootsa couple of months ago to get a camera developed of a fam,ily holiday and they would not develop the pictures of my son in the bath this is annoying beacause i wanted to puit them in his baby book which you stick pictures in from birth to 5 years agree! but that's how life is you know... ~take care~ |
