About studio lighting in this picture: http://www.evanbaines.com/gallery/p... |
First of all, I thank so much to Evan Baines for the information. Further more, may I know, please, what kind of lighting (Evan using one light only for that photo) that he uses in that photo? How many watts and etc. Thanks. (Thanks to Antoni M too for the answer) LOL, you could have just emailed me this question ;) This photo was taken with a single White Lightning 1600 (max effective 1600 w/s) strobe with a 24" x 36" softbox positioned to the left of the photo. The softbox is aimed slightly back towards the camera to keep the light from spilling on the background. The light was set to (if I remember correctly) about 1/3 power and about 5 feet from the model. The photo was shot at f/7.1, 1/160sec, ISO 100 at 135mm. Remember that the power setting of the light needs to be relative to: A) The aperture you are using (I assume you'll be at ISO 100 for studio work!) B) The distance of the light from your subject C) The skin tones of the model and the clothing he or she is wearing ...Among other things Again, remember that if you're going for a really black background (as in that pic), you need to ensure that no light spills out onto the background. You can use a traditional light modifier, or just put a big object between the light and the background (a GoBo... stands for go between). *LOL Antoni, I had a magazine shoot that got canked this weekend, so other than a wedding presentation to a nice young couple I had the day off. Source(s): Professional Photographer http://www.evanbaines.com Hi Yeah hes a clever one alright, i hope he answers. I have no idea what he used but a Dedo will do that nicely EDIT: you can get the same effect with any lamp but may have to direct it a bit (make your own shade) low power have it close to the model, higher power move it away dont need a "special" light to get the effect, hope he answers you now, hes proberly at a wedding (working) or something a Wow, that was great. |
