Anyone else think that Artis "A-Train" Gilmore should be in the Basketball Hall of Fame?

Of course! Sports Illustrated calls it an embarrassment to the sport of basketball.
It's one of the great mysteries. Maybe because like Dr. J he was in the ABA for so many years... Maybe because the other big-name centers were in bigger markets and got more press. Or maybe people still remember him competing in the first slam-dunk contest :)

In his era, he was rock-solid, just not flashy. He was a little slow and usually got outplayed by other superstars in the playoffs, but he was definitely THE immovable object.

Statistically, he should be there. From a historical significance standpoint he should be there. Eventually the A-Train will roll into the HOF.
