Dual Boot Windows XP and Vista? |
Ok, I know there are a lot of questions already on here about this, but I think mine is special. I would like to know if I can dual boot Windows XP and Windows Vista if my version of Vista is only the upgrade that was shipped for free, after I bought my XP computer. And if it's possible, how do I dual boot? When I install Vista, what settings do I choose? The reason I want to do this is because my TV Card only works on XP, and some of my other programs work better on XP than Vista, but I really like the programs in Vista, such as the new Movie Maker, and Photo Gallery. So how can I do this? Thanks for all the help, Matt firts you have to install XP better first on a partition and then boot with full version cd of vista and install it on different Partition With minimum 15 GB partition. I'm using it and enjoying all feature. hi, i think the solution to this is first install2 WinXp on your machine in different drives, then after installation, upgrade the other one to Vista ^_^ hope this helps. no, since you only have got the windows Vista upgrade disc, you cannot do it as a dual boot. partition, partition, partition. look into this site it may be able to answer your questions: www.howtogeek.com this guy has one for vista & one for XP on the vista one there is a listing for dual booting so you might want to check it out.
