What is the best way to improve my website: www.electricboatproject.c... ? |
I know there are many improvements to be made and the site is not browser independent. It works best using Internet Explorer. I do not have any html skills and I am using FrontPage to make the site. I am working on making the video clip play through flash video player. Here are a few specific questions: 1) Should I leave both options for the photo gallery (table and slide show)? 2) What color should I use for the background to all of the text areas? 3) How can I make the page headers better without a lot of skills or software? 4) Should I include thumbnail pictures in the tutorial? 5) Any other feedback is appreciated. 1) you should stop using Microsoft FrontPage to create your pages 2) you should read up on XHTML and CSS (http://msconline.maconstate.edu/tutorial... is not a bad place to start) 3) browse throught various web-designers' portfolios, to get a feel for what good pages really look like. and when you browse various pages, when you see something you like - stop, ask yourself Why do i like it? then take a look around the page to figure it out - then use the concepts when you create your own website. thats a lot of work, but then having successfull onilne project always is. good luck! |
