What color is my pony!? |
hes not grey to b grey u must have one grey parents! his moms palimino and dads blue roan! go to young riders photo gallery and look for wolf on th 3 and 4 page! and how much is worth? hes a registered aqha qh and a foundation hancock! related to dan tucker and joe hancock! he has purfect confermation and jumps 3' 6 i dont know but he is sooo gorgeous! you dont know colors then. ;[ wow.lol~ no clue sry Looks like he got the blue roan gene.. I'm not surprised..Palomino is a hard color to throw. Most true palominos are inbred like crazy to keep the color true. He's a good looking horse. What does it say on his registration? To be papered he would have to have a color description. Besides you should know that the term gray covers a multitude of colors. Including horses that by eyesight appear white. The only true "white" horses are albinos, all other colors looking from white to actual gray are listed as gray. By the way it would be easier for people if you included a link..So here I did it for you: http://www.youngrider.com/horse-gallery/... If he is registered with the AQHA then his color should be listed on his registration. If you don't have them, you can get a copy from the AQHA. I have no clue how to find the picture you described. If you could provide a link then I might be able to help. Thanks for the link "All I hear is Blah B" He is in NO DOUBT gray! and kinda cute. As far as his confirmation, he seems to be cow hocked and possibly even a tad pigeon toed which can cause injuries later especially if your jumping 3'6" with him. Telling his "perfect confirmation" from that picture is tough. His neck does look a bit on the short side also- but he is cute. As far as his worth $$$, depends on where you are and how successfully he is showing and jumping and at what level. Different states, or even countries bring different $$$. Good luck with him though. What color do his papers say he is? I would call him a gray. And have you seen his dam or sire lately to make sure that they have not turned gray. Just because they may not have gone grey (yet), that does not mean that one of them does not the gray gene. And you keep posting about how much he is worth (and under different names -horse expert being one). This is about the third time I have seen this same horse. Are you trying to sell him, insure him or what? And if it is none of the above then what does it matter? He may be worth a million dollars to you and $500 to someone else. It is hard to say. You have yet to provide a pedigree, show record, or anything that helps on valuing a horse. Or are you wanting a sugar coated answer of "he is just gorgeous and worth a fortune"? Are looking to be able to brag to your friends that your horse is worth XXXX amount of dollars according to Yahoo answers? And as far as conformation goes, he is OK, ( I have seen better and worse) but not perfect, since their is not a horse in the world that can make this claim. As far as being a Hancock bred horse, so are about 10,000 others out there. What has his sire or dam done? Any show records? And brothers or sisters that have shown or won money? This may not be what you want to hear, but in the real world, this is how horses are valued by insurance companies and appraisers. One last thing. If he is a pony, then he cannot be reigistered AQHA. So is he a pony or a horse? Update: Then please post his name, his sire and dams name's and I will look up their records on AQHA. Then I can give you a better idea of worth. And I am assuming that you mean a roper and the dam is a halter mare (not conformation). And in your last post ( as horse expert) you stated that you paid $1800 for him. If his dam owner paid $100, 000 for her as you stated and his sire is a Two Time World Champion roper and reiner, then I would think their colts should be worth more than $1800. |
