07 Jeep Wrangler? |
Love it or hate it? I have a 2005 Wrangerl X and love it. All chromed out, lift kit etc. I really dont think I like much the 07 Wrangler and sure not in a 4 door. http://www.automobilemag.com/multimedia/... I really appreciate the new Wrangler. The demand for it allowed me to practically steal my '06 Unlimited off the lot a few weeks ago. So, I say thank you to all the morons who are going out to buy the new plastic laden '07. You saved me thousands! The 4-door is a freakin' travesty. The V-6 is a monumental error. And building lights into the front bumper (which is PLASTIC) is beyond silly. I hope the aftermarket starts the tear down of this vehicle soon. If anyone can put the Jeep back in the Wrangler, they can. By the way, only the '07 Unlimited comes standard with 2wd. The short wheelbase Wrangler is still 4wd. Usually I am big fan of German enginering, but I think they have lost their minds. Why put a minivan engine in a jeep? The new engine makes less torque, but the same HP. Also it is an all new suspension design. All this = bad news for offroading. I guess the concrete jungle out there needs taming too! you know it kind of looks like the old ones but those damn plastic wheel wells are ugly. i mean ya they got cool little nick knacks like the new navigation system with DVD player, hd for saved music and what not but that don't make up for the lack of performance this jeep has. i think its ugly in that sense they put that damn mini van motor in a 4x4 it makes no torque where you need it at the low rpms like the old wranglers used to. i think they're conforming to these damn tree hugging i want my car to get 39 million mpg people. they totally lost the jeeps roots by ditching the time tested and reliable 4.0. the 4 Door is also just another way of trying to bring back the cherokees those things are pretty badass but ya i agree with you it just doesn't look right for a wrangler to have 4 doors. i believe the suspension stayed the same though which is a good thing all they did though is beef up the dana30 and 35s with bigger axle housings and splines i think but still it doesn't make up for the lack in power. oh well i guess our TJ's are just going to be the last of a dieing breed its a shame but what can you do. I think that if ya lift the 07 it`ll look just fine and the 07 rubicon has alot more awsome features Jeep |
