My Sweet 16 theme? HELP!!!? |
So my sweet 16 is coming up and unlike the lucky girls on the reality show, I have a budget to work with... Anyway, my parents said i could have it in a hotel, (embassy suites) and I need a theme and some decorating tips! I want the theme to be a night of elegance. Im having 15 friends coming. Its going to be a dressy party. This is a pic of the hotel room its gonna be in. This is just the room its not the actual decorations. I want to transform the room! Make it beautiful! How can I phisically do that? Also, where you see the retractable wall, (on the right of the pic) there will be another room available that will connect. Making an "L" shape Help??? http://www.embassysuites.com/en/hotels/c... You're having 15 people over? So you'd only need like 3 tables? Have one part of the L as a sit down couch like area if possible, for people to just like crash and chill. And have the tables like for a dinner party in the other end of the L, and then have a dance floor and a DJ in the connecting bit between the two Lends. As for decorations, what's your favourite colour? Fabric or ribbons can look very classy and make the room look very soft, bring some nice cushions to add a comfortable look for the couches. Some nice birthday balloons could look pretty cool too as long as there aren't too many or too few, ideally tie three together every few feet so it doesn't look overdone. Drape white/cream covers over the dinner chairs so it doesn't look cheap, and nice tableclothes, candles would be really pretty on the tables, or even different themed tables like by colour/country/city/animal etc Ooo, and maybe three balloons above each table, and a little gift of chocolates wrapped in a gold foil/fabric for each guest at their dinner place You should have all of the colors of your party (decorations, dress..cake, etc) black and white. You said that you wanted the theme to be a night of elegance and black and white are very classy colors. Also they are simple colors and you could avoid the decorations of coming out tacky. You can buy fabric (shear, etc) and create you own chair and table coverings to save money.... You can decorate the walls..etc. Also they have the most beautiful cakes and you can get a black and white one! Sorry if I was kinda vague....umm, but I hope that you sweet 16 comes out perfect..oh yeah and those girls on the reality show are not lucky, unless your definition of lucky is selfish, spoiled, annoying, ungrateful little brats! lol...well Happy Sweet 16!
