Help my dads looking at porn sites and other inapropriate sites...? |
ok i have a huge problem w/ my dad. i know most of you are going to think i've been snoooping but i REALLY HAVEN'T BEEN! let me list the stuff that i've found 1. porn sites on my computers history 2. a girls naked photo gallery in my computer's history (which i just found TODAY) 3. convos of my dad (that he left open) talking to some girl that claims shes "single, hot, and looking" 4. my dad subscribed to dating sites.... PLEASE realize that i havent been snooping for these things and that i found these on accident! i found these when i was trying to clear the history on my computer cause my computer runs slow when i dont delete it, and i found all these links to porn sites, naked photo galleries of women, etc. my dads 56 years old and hes married to my mom. im an only child and me and my dad are the only people that use this computer. i tried not telling my mom what i found, but a few months ago i couldnt anymore and i told her. my dad promised not to do it anymore wow you are one smart kid to try to help your dad at age 14, dam, i would have supposed that you joined him, i think he needs serious talk, tell him to do it for u guys if he has any love. u should contact a doctor for your father, and u can also block those websites, he will never figure out how to unblock :) at age 56 ill pray for u :) good luck and u should also pray to god about it, dont listen to Lawliet about porn being legal and its normal because its not, what is the purpose of porno at that age? it will crush the family and its not okay. how do u know he won't have sex with someone young after watching all that porn stuck in his head. you should sit down with your dad and tell him what you saw. personally...i don't think it's normal to cheat or to look at porn. married or single. i see it as disrespectful and selfish. you should talk to him and show him you have proof and tell him how it makes you feel and how much you know it's going to hurt your mom and you. lawliet...NO, my dad does not look at porn. why? because he respects his wife (my mom). his wife is the ONLY woman that satisfies him. get your facts straight before you generalize all men. nor does my fiance. i know that for a FACT. whoa whoa whoa.. pornography is perfectly legal. also, your father is 56.. let him have his fun. (although that sounds wrong.. ...really wrong) really, he should just buy his own computer for his own business... it really is quite dumb for him to look at pornography on a computer his own daughter uses. its very, very easy to find and well.. all i can say is, it's normal and most men, even women look at pornography. its not because you're a pervert but because you're bored, or its just a substitute for what you can't have anymore. but both sides are pretty wrong on this one.. he should get a new comp, and you should just let him be. ...when he gets a new comp. everyone's dad looks at porn. even priests do it. You are right about the not going to your friends... this is somthing that shouldn't concern them at all. Just be completely honest with you mother and tell her what you have found... pornography is a sickness in the form of an addiction. You just have to try and figure out ways of helping your dad. This could also just be something that could be handled between your parents. It is their business and has nothing to do with you what so ever! I just hope that everything works out for you. You get blockers to stop him on your computer make sites block just like they do for little kids. The problem is larger than that you might consider talking to your mom if you worry about her feelings then find a adult to listen to you about the problem...(if you are a adult then ) try to be calm and remember you can only tell the truth and work things out. I agree that you should sit down and talk with your dad. If he tries to deny it then go to your mom. Online Porn is a huge problem these days. |
