Please help me....i need advice....its about my dad...? |
ok i have a huge problem w/ my dad. i know most of you are going to think i've been snoooping but i REALLY HAVEN'T BEEN! let me list the stuff that i've found 1. porn sites on my computers history 2. a girls naked photo gallery in my computer's history (which i just found TODAY) 3. convos of my dad (that he left open) talking to some girl that claims shes "single, hot, and looking" 4. my dad subscribed to dating sites.... PLEASE realize that i havent been snooping for these things and that i found these on accident! i found these when i was trying to clear the history on my computer cause my computer runs slow when i dont delete it, and i found all these links to porn sites, naked photo galleries of women, etc. my dads 56 years old and hes married to my mom. im an only child and me and my dad are the only people that use this computer. i tried not telling my mom what i found, but a few months ago i couldnt anymore and i told her. my dad promised not to do it anymore He broke a promise and you need to tell your mom. Personally I see nothing wrong with looking at porn, married or not if it is legal and you are at the legal age. But talking to that supposed single girl is not ok. That is cheating. Your father may be cheating still. Go and tell your mom and there are ways to keep him from looking at porn. It's called parental setting which since you use the computer too, would be a wise thing to set up. Go to Control Panel. Click Internet Options. Click Contents. Click where it says Enable under Content adviser and click the level it should be set at for each one. Tell your mom. It is not your fault your dad has this issue and it is between your mom and dad to work it out. I鈥檓 sure by now your mother knows what is going on; she鈥檚 just choosing not to do anything about it. It sounds like it鈥檚 upsetting you more than your parents also. What you need to do is just stay out of it if you can, if you can鈥檛 talk to someone at your church, or try your mother again. I think i would put a password on your user id and let him put one on his also. He might look into things you have been in and think they are wrong. You may talk to your dad and tell him you found this and that it's very disturbing to you. I feel bad that he is using a computer you both use besides going to these sites knowing you can find them. maybe he has an addiction and he needs some help. Not sure i gave you any answers you can use but i know how i would feel. I can't imagine having those things on my computer i share with my kids and any of them finding it. Good luck pornography is an addiction that can lead to perverse behavior. I think your Dad has a bit of a problem. I just don't know what you can do about it...I guess the hard thing, but maybe only thing you could do, would be to confront him head on. Do you think he would actually act on anything? If the answer to that is no, then maybe you just need to let him have a fantasy world, like many mid-lifers have. If you think he would act on something, or you have reason to believe he already has, maybe your Mother needs to be clued in...? Good luck on that one, it's a toughie. WELL I THINK YOU SHOULD TELL YOUR DAD. THAT YOU ARE GOING TO TELL THAT YOUR MOM WHAT YOU YOUR DAD BEEN DOING AFTER HE PROMISE TO STOP AND DID NOT.
