Upload photo and modify a xml? |
Do somebody know anyway that let some users to upload photos , but at same time they modify a .xml I got a flash gallery, but i need to modify the .xml to put the photo, so any way? Also a place where to put name... So that would insert it in the xml! This is often accomplished by having a script that generates the XML on the fly. It can be cold fusion, php, asp or another server-side language. When you enter the picture it saves it in a database which then the generated script will pick it up and generate the new XML. Now if you are talking about on a local XML file then you will need to navigate the XML tree, matching some ID you setup to the picture that belongs with it. Then replace the element using a programming language like Javascript or another language run on your computer. You will have to consult the proper language you are using on how to actually go about navigation of an XML tree and through its nodes. The main idea is that you say picture X belongs with ID Y which has its details and then either add the node or replace the existing node for Y with a link to the picture. Hope this makes sense. |
