Posting days-old dollar store HPTs on pee-stick photo galleries? |
Aren't HPT results invalid after a certain number of *minutes*? I saw that some women have posted their HPT results on picture galleries on twoweekwait.com. Some pics show a few *days* ---9dpo, 10dpo, 11dpo,...---of individual test results to show their progression towards a positive result. Also, I've been using some dollar store tests until I get closer to 14dpo, then I'll use the exspensive ones....has anyone else had their results change with dollar store HPTs? I have taken those dollar store tests before when I wasn't pregnant, seen the negative result, but then looked at them a day later and they were positive. I wasn't pregnant, though. When I was actually pregnant, they turned positive immediately, just seconds after I peed on them. HPT results are invalid after about 10 minutes 9dpo = nine days post-ovulation This is when the test was done Make sure you read all of the instructions that come with your home pregnancy test carefully. I don't know about $ store ones but I have used ept and got a negative. A few days later emptying the trash they were still the same. I have also heard of woman wrapping up a positive HPT and giving it to their husband later that day and it still reads positive. I guess the companies say don't read after 10 minutes to be safe so they don't get sued. I think they give the time of 10 minutes to ensure accurate results. My sister in law used the dollar store ones, and she was pregnant. I have used and gotten negative, and no baby yet. I'm not sure if you understand. It seems you do because you're waiting 14dpo. 14dpo would be 14 days past ovulation. The days is referring to how many days you would wait after ovulation to do the test. If you knew what day you ovulated and tried that day, you would wait 14 days after the ovulation date, created 14dpo. The 10 minute rule still applies. Women use this to know how soon they got a positive result. peeonastick.com has some good info too. |
