Can anyone give me links to good wildlife photo galleries? |
I look for photos of animals in their natural habitat videos would be great too, thanks! National Geographic magazine has some outstanding photo galleries up each month. This month's "Visions of Earth" is pretty amazing. They have several archives that include just what you are looking for. The National Park Service has links, and resources online that you can tap into to look at specific regions of the country to better find what you need (say Yellowstone bears, or Michigan wolves). I'd also look at what conservation programs various universities are involved with. I know that the University of Washington has an impressive photo spread of the "L" pod of killer whales that are in Puget sound. Always go to the pro shots page (these are the professional photos versus the ones regular people send to the website). They have great wildlife and nature landscape photos. You can download some photos for free and use as wallpaper and screen savers. http://www.webshots.com/g/ www.panda.org The official WWF page I like this site: www.e-greetings.com It sounds strange, but actually they are something like volunteer e-card site, where through beautiful free photos of animals (+ information about then below) and landscapes they can promote the idea of green planet and wild life preservation. They also sale "green"items and have links to famous eco-sites I use this one a lot at work. elib.cs.berkeley.edu/photos |
