While using firefox I can't see gallery photos in Ebay? |
Hi, If I use Mozilla Firefox I am unable to see gallery photos in Ebay when I am searching for an item etc. If I use Internet Explorer I have no problem (well not that problem anyway) I tried reloading Firefox but it made no difference. Hope someone can help. I'll direct you to an excellent forum post . Check all the settings listed . Here's the post : http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.... If this doesn't help, then i could tell you to check and isolate a problematic theme/extension, but since you reinstalled firefox so you may not have any themes/extensions installed. However, if you're still stuck with your problem and are experiencing the the problem only on ebay, you could get the IE tab extension for firefox.Once you install that extension , simply put the ebay gallery URL in that extension so that it'll be one of the sites that'll open within firefox but will use the IE's engine. I'll walk you through it. Click here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox... for the IE tab extension Once you're on the page, click 'install now (windows)' ...follow steps to install. At the end it'll prompt you to restart firefox. Now click Tools >Add-ons > Extensions > click on IE tab extension > click options . Now in the URL, enter http://ebay.com and click 'add'. now click 'ok' to close to box. From now on, always ebay.com will open with IE's engine . If you want a certain page to look like how it does in IE, then instead of the entire ebay URL, just put in the 'offending' ebay URL there. What this extension basically does is, it lets you change the rendering engine for a webpage. If you don't want to enter any URL there, then you can also click the mozilla firefox icon in the bottom right of the window to switch to the IE rendering engine for the page you're viewing after installing this extension. Alternatively, you might want to try and uninstall Firefox 'competely' and reinstall it back again. Here's how you uninstall Mozilla Firefox completely: 1)Uninstall firefox from the add/remove control panel (Start-> Run and type 'appwiz.cpl' (without quotes) or 'control appwiz.cpl' if you're in win9x and hit OK. Select mozilla firefox from the list and hit remove. 2)Now delete the Mozilla Firefox folder from 'program files' (Assuming firefox is installed in C:\program files, Go to that path and delete the entire Mozilla firefox folder. 3)Now remove the firefox folder from : start-> run-> type in %appdata% and hit OK (this will open the application data folder)->Mozilla. Delete the Firefox folder in the Mozilla directory. If you use only the Firefox 'product' of Mozilla, then its ok to delete the Mozilla folder itself. Now reinstall Firefox, and you're problem will be gone. Switch to Internet Explorer and that will fix it. try right clicking and go to show picture firefox is crap for loading non text items though hope firefox 3 fixes that download the Ebay-companion toolbar for FF Every Internet browser has their own advantages and disadventages. For example : Opera Browser has download manager, so u can pause it, and resume it again tommorow or another time. But, not for internet explorer. If u cancel ur download, its over. Netscape can read some special code for HTML that another internet browser cannot read it. U can view the flash animation while using Internet explorer, but if u use opera, u can't watch it, (need flash player installer for opera browser.) U have no problem while ur using internet explorer, so, its ok. right? U can install more than 1 internet browser in ur PC. If u can't watch it in one internet browser, use another one. er, sory.... have u checked ur fire fox settings... and try to find "show image" |
