Guide me in the right direction!?

I have a Single Lens Reflex camera and I want to learn photography, and make it my carrier. I'm a beginner and I want to do an online course that is step by step and not to complex. I'm using my brother's Mac and I don't want to have to download anything, b/c he doesn't want me to. Just something that I can pull up on screen. I would also like to make payments as well... like money order. Any suggestions for a good sight?

A local community college would probably suite you better. The interaction that you would get with the instructor and other students as well as being able to show the instructor exactly what camera equipment that you have to work with is a major bonus. They are usually resonably priced lessons and you may just need a one day course to get started.

http://www.nyip.com/ The New York Institute of Photography is highly rated from what I hear.

Go with a community college course. The things you request will not give you the things you need to become a pro. Photography is complex. It cant be mailed in.

You should have a hands on instructor, that can give you realtime instruction and advice.
