First tattoo ideas?

Okay, I want to get a tattoo.
I don't want to just go pick one off the wall though, of course. I want it to mean something.
My mind is on shut down right now though, and I can't think of anything.
So here is some information about me, maybe you all could give me a couple ideas. Pictures would be nice as well.

My name is Brei. Im really creative. I enjoy; writting, dancing, cars, & music. (Mostly indie)

I am studying to be a photographer. Given, I love photography.

Of course, im not going to just say "Bam! I want a this one. Some one from yahoo answers told me I should get it."

No, im just trying to get my mind running & so far, im loving the feedback.

Thanks everyone!

Here's what I did. I designed something myself and put it up on my bathroom mirror for a year. I figured if I could look at it every day for a year, then I'd be okay with it being on my body for a lifetime.

I've done this ever since. Many, many designs have found their way to the trash and not my skin. Since starting this practice, only 3 have made it onto my body and I'm thrilled each and every time I see them.

So take your time, find a design and see how long you can live with it. They very much should have meaning and be sure to investigate it. I've always been drawn to turtles and then learning more about their meaning in various cultures, the symbolism became more powerful. I wanted it to be done in a style that fit the idea of turtles and why someone would have it tattooed on their body. So when I was in Tahiti and seeing the work done there, I realized I was in the perfect place. So while I didn't have the exact design when I went in, I knew the artist would understand why I wanted it. After a 15 minute chat about me and why I wanted a turtle, he came up with a brilliant design that suits me, the turtle and the art form.

Again, patience my friend, patience.

Don't force it.

Something that you would love will come to you eventually. Don't just jump on the tattoo bandwagon without thinking things through.

If you want your tattoo to mean something, I'd wait until something comes into your head instead of asking people who don't really know you. If I were you, first I'd decided where I want it, visualize what would look good on that part of your body. I think music notes often look cute, but they've also been done before. Just make sure that it really means something to you (since you said that's what you want). I dated a guy who had Taz holding a beer and a yin yang that had skulls on it. Ick.

If you plan to go on holiday, why don't you have one done there, and get like something to do with the culture of that destination. For example, Ireland: a clover.

I just always thought it was an interesting thing to do.

get a general idea of what you want and then ask the tattoo artist to sketch you some ideas they are good at that.

Don't get one.

if your an artist or even if you can trace you can google images and get something with dancing (balerena feet) cars (your favorite car symobl ect) and music notes done to look like a photograph. Go talk to some guys at the tattoo shop if your serious they can draw up some ideas for you. Here is a tip get it some where that you can hide it when you need to and show it off when you want.

maybe try your name with some music notes around it and stuff like that

i have found some nice tattoo idea here
