course D.C.A running in gujarat <india> It's a reducing agent which reduces silver halides that have been exposed to light into elemental silver. It is the first chemical that you put your photographic paper in after you have burned the image onto it. It turns the silver halide crystals into black metallic silver which allows the image to show up. A developer is a solution that you place either your exposed film or exposed photo paper in that reacts with the silver on the emulsion.
