Is it easy to get into photography n wots the best way to do it?

i love photography im doing a GCSE course now and predicted an A n i want to get an A level in it next year if i get my A level for it at a decent grade where should i go from there i know its gd to have a portfolio but i only have a dark room 2 use at college and dont have time to process my own photos coz im to busy doin my work

do u have to show prints that you have actually procesed urself in a darkroom or can u jus take the pictures n get them processed or do ppl not look for tht?

does anyone know where u can use a dark room tht is in/near brighton if possible?

thanks :)

For the most part, I I'd imagine it doesn't matter who did the processing, as much as who took the shot. *However*, if you don't do the processing, you're leaving the outcome of the final piece in someone else's hands. IOW, stuff like the cropping, the saturation levels, the contrast levels, etc. are all things you should have control over, and can only control if you do your own processing.

As far as whether or not it's easy to get into photography, that's up to what kind of photography you're talking about and who you intend to shoot for. For example, getting a job at a magazine or newspaper is just like getting another job, depends on their needs and your abilities; if you're looking at something like fine art photography, it's a lot harder and depends on your marketing skills; stock photography can be easy, but doesn't pay much, especially microstock.

You could start by trying to sell your photos as stock. Here are some sites to get you started http://istophoto.googlepages.com

Good Luck!
