Any ideas for my photography project on Transitions?

In my photography course, we have been given the theme "Transitions" We may do whatever we like, has anyone any ideas on what i can do as i really cannot think of anything.

For example, pictures of something changing over time - can be anything.

My original idea was to take pictures of my cat jumping and all the different stages before he jumps - to show how cats have very flexible torsos, but i found this too hard to do.

I'd like to do something based around animals if possible - but all ideas are welcome!

Thanks!

Hmm. For my photography A-Level i chose 'Clouds' but just decided to photograph areas of the sky with massive negative space, and not neccesarily any clouds. It's really interesting to shoot the same place at different times of the day and in different weather conditions. Ori Gersht was pretty inspiring for me. Have a look at these http://www.vam.ac.uk/collections/photogr...

The natural world is full of transition...weather, times of day, seasons, water, fungi, decomposition etc..

It might sound silly, but how about cooking (frying) an egg !!

The transition from a fluid object, to a solid object. Start with someone cracking the egg, and capture the egg falling into the frying pan until it is cooked and put on a plate. A multi sequence shooting mode will help.

Good luck.

The most noticeable transitions are with young animals, either domesticated or wild. Do you know anyone with young animals, are you near the countryside where there are young animals. Maybe you have birds which are starting to mate, if you have a garden you could put up some nest-boxes

If not maybe there is a zoo or animal rescue centre near you which would allow you to photograph some of their young.

Wherever you live nature is constantly in transition all through the year, plants starting to burst into life in spring to the shutting down they do in autumn.

YOU HAVE THE SAME ONE AS ME!!!
IT SUCKS!!!
LOL
(Last years was good "Freedom")

Ok for Photography im doing the difference between fruit decaying etc and man made objects...and because i loved the idea of the transition time...each photo will have a clock in !

Also i have to do one for art aswell...so i chose metamorphosis....

photography was harder to decide for... i had 2 A4 pieces of paper full of brainstorms...and i wanted to do them all lol...

Well thats what im doing and i really need to get started because my exam is in April and all i have is scrappy notes!!

Good luck!!!
