Becoming an AirBrusher? |
Hey, I live in Australia and am currently studying photography at TAFE. I was wondering if anyone knows a course i can do either at TAFE or University that focuses on Air brushing / Post-processing of images. I really want to becomae an air bruhser, i mean the ones that retouch photos for magazines etc. I have asked some of my lectures but they dont seem to know either. Does anyone know if there is even a course out there? and what its called? Thanks guys =D Nobody does traditional "air brushing" these days, at least not on photos for publication. It's all done in Photoshop. And there's a huge learning process to the fine art of image management and manipulation (which, ultimately, is what "air brushing" is all about). Get Phototoshop, join NAPP (National Asociation of Photoshop Professionals), Start with the basics of image optimization before you start thinking about manipulating any image. The process in Photoshop should (must!) always follow this three-step sequence (at least as far as photos is concerned; graphics are a different story altogether.): Optimize, then Enhance, then ... and only then ... Manipulate. This is a very competitive field, and there are already a lot of people out there who are very good at it. But it takes an artistic skill and a lot of hard work and attention to detail to become good at it. If you're already an artist, or an art student, you're off to the right start.
