My family hates the idea of me taking History Maths Media and Photography for AS levels, apparently it narrows all my options down and I won't be accepted to do courses like Architecture in University. But because of the block system in my school taking the combination of Maths and History narrows my other choices down. I have no idea what to do. Will it completely narrow my choices down in Uni, baring in mind i have no idea what i want to do there? And Maths History Media and Photography is what i want to do in sixth form, is it worth changing photography to physics to give me a better chance of being accepted into Unis?
I had wanted to study architecture but then didnt want to do physics for AS... However, after I chose to do something else I found out as long as you have maths its ok. I think your choices are good... even though you are doing photography, you may have to take a portfolio with drawings to interview... so that has to be either in spare time or take art aswell. Also think about anything else you might want to study... are you blocking off those options by choosing these subjects? It might be worth talking to a careers teacher. good luck! |
