Is there a school here in the Philippines who teaches 3d animations and stuffs? |
hi guys, is there any schools here in the philippines who offers courses like 3d animation, 2d animation, photography, etc.? Yes, there is. The De La Salle - College of St. Benilde. De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB, CSB or simply Benilde), is a private Catholic college and member institution of De La Salle Philippines located in the vicinity of Malate, located along Taft Avenue across the street from De La Salle University-Manila. The college uses learner-centered instruction and offers innovative degree and non-degree programs designed for the development of professionals in the arts, design, management, service industries, computer applications in business, and special fields in study. The college has also pioneered several degree offerings different from what regular universities and colleges in the Philippines had. Im actually a student of this college. My course is AB-MMA (Bachelor of Arts- Multimedia Arts). This course offers subjects like 3d animation, 2d animation, photography, basics of drawing and many many more. Some of our professors studied and worked in abroad. Some had worked for big companies like Pixars so they really now what they are teaching. We also have a professor working in ABS-CBN, the no. 1 broadcast station in the Philippines. If you are really interested in studying things like this, i recommend De La Salle - College of St. Benilde. Ow, recently, they opened a new building for School of Design Arts student like me, it was really big and named as the "jewel in the crown of the De La Salle University System schools", it is a 14-storey building. They offer an AB Multimedia Arts program which teaches the individual disciplines you are looking for like photography, video, 2D and 3D graphics, animation, game programming and other stuff including their integration into a holistic product. www.apc.edu.ph DLSU-CSB's Multimedia Arts is an excellent course. It's comprehensive. My sister graduated in this course and I have to say that I envied her curriculum, it's very technical and artistic at the same time :) |
