Any one have any ideas for a photography assignment it's a non-traditional book?.....?

I have to make a non tradtional book. There are no guidlines there just has to be a concept. I will give a couple of examples. In a previous class a student hooked a pump up to a toilet bowl and took pictures of things like, the school building, where he worked ect. and laminated them. he then put them in the bowl and they swirled around. And he called it the "Sh*t that Pi**es me off". Another example was a doll setup like it was in a beauty salon looking at a magazine and in the magazine were actual pictures the student had taken.. and of course that one was about body image. I don't want to do anything on body image though.. that was just an example. Anyway I'm really stuck for ideas.. I have came up with a couple of them but I don't think they are very good. I want something that the professor will be impressed by and apparently he was by those others b/c he used them as examples. There are no limits what so ever. ANyone have any ideas?

Do pics of childhood favorites (toys, foods, etc) mixed w/ symbols of your adult life. Think a light up game w/ electric bill, toy car w/ gas card statement, baby doll w/ pregnancy test & b/c pills...stuff like that. It would be a way to compare and contrast the way things of our childhood compare w/ our adult responsibilities. Good Luck!
Your prof seems hooked on mildly shocking (toilet) or politically charged (body image) art.

"Concept" art is usually driven by very lateral or at least metaphorical thought. You might consider a widespread political issue, then think of things tangentially related to it or things it reminds you of and explain why. Just make sure the original reference topic isn't too obscured, or people will wonder if you're bsing about the connection.

Maybe work it into your presentation. It sounds like that's a big part of what impresses your prof as well.
