Photography Business? |
I am looking into photographing little league games for some extra money. I have a Nikon D50, a 50mm 1.4, 28mm 2.8 manual focus, and a 70-300mm 4-5.6. Well, I need a printer, and right now, that's all I have the money for; no laptop. Does anyone have advice for a good photo printer? What should I charge? Realistically of course. I was going to offer 4x6, 5x7, and 8 1/2x11. Does anyone have any advice for calming yourself to get out and taking pictures of complete strangers? Thanks for the help. Here is a link to a business similar to the one you are suggesting. http://www.siactionphoto.com/ Source(s): Editorial, sports and glamour photographer Hey man that is a great way to start.....that's how I started XtremePhoto. Go to WWW.PhotoStockPlus.com It is a sight to upload your pics securely then you can run the printing and fulfillment end of your business through the sight. They supply a pricing schedule for you. Go check it out and look at some of the other photographers store fronts on the sight and you will see how it all works. www.photosockplus.com Canon Pixma 600. Best Photo Printer I've ever used. I think I found mine for about $300 a while ago. I don't know what they run these days though. Dabbling in photography for 5 or 6 years. I'd send them off to www.mpix.com - you can have a variety of things printed there (i.e. "trading cards" for ball players), they have great rates, they can matt them for you, and they have the BEST papers. Good turn around too. |
