What are some good brands of 35 mm cameras?

Im starting photography course and im not to sure what im looking for

If you really mean 35mm (film) you are picking a prime time to buy. Lots of professionals are dumping their film cameras for high end digital bodies. I have seen professional equipment going for 25 cents on the dollar.

Nikon and Canon are the industry leaders. They make great glass and sturdy camera bodies.
I had a Canon SLR, it was nice
I like my Nikon. N-65. Great Camera. Also, do research in person locally and then buy it on the net out of state and save sales tax. Most will waive shipping too! I buy most of my "stuff" that way! Have fun...
Buy a digital camera. Easier to work with and cheaper to take pictures and get them diveloped.
There are very few 35mm camera makers left. Nikon is the best of the remaining bunch. Buy a used one, of the best, there is/was:
Nikon, Minolta, Canon, All made excellent cameras, very good optics in all. Nikon has been recognized as the leader for ages.
I've been using my Nikon N-80 for years. I prefer it over my $350 digital camera. There's nothing like the sound of a real shutter!

Nikon! Nikon! Nikon! Nikon! Nikon! Nikon!
