Photography - Theme Help?


PLAY, PAUSE, STOP
(or maybe it was fastforward, rewind, stop)
anyhow, thats the theme for my photography course. i know this is the arts page but because its more 'creative' i was wondering whether anyone had any ideas of what sorts of images i could take?
ideas like a child growing up, musical instruments, traffic are welcome.. only, im hoping for something more original or abstract.

How about taking a truly 'concrete' (literal) approach? Imagine photographing -- with a micro lens (so you can get very close) -- the play, pause and stop buttons on numerous audio/visual equipment? Then develop (if making prints in the darkroom) or edit/arrange (if using digital pictures and computers) all the play buttons on one sheet, all the pause buttons on a second sheet, and all the stop buttons on a third sheet?
