Does anyone know of a good photography course for beginners in the boston area?

I would like to take a cheap evening course in the boston area/west. Not dig. photography.

Consider taking a Beginner's Photography class through the Adult, Evening & Continuing Education Department at any of the junior colleges in your area; alternatively, you can call up the local YMCA or YWCA, or Boys' Club or Girls' Club, or any similar association and see if they offter film photography course. These courses are normally very well organized and what you learn in a matter of a few weeks is well worth the money.

By the way, if you do NOT have a camera already, I suggest that you consider the Nikon N80 (very, very well built camera with options that mimic the pro-level camera Nikon F100, that you will enjoy learning to use); it will set the ISO for you, advance the film, has auto-focus but you can also use it on manual, and it advances the film as you take a photo and also rewinds the film as you take the last images. IT has 3 light metering systems and many other great options. I suggest that you consider getting the Nikkor 28-105mm f/3.5-5.6D lens which is the most versatile lens you'll find anywhere with the greatest glass formula for great image details (can be used as a wide angle lens, a regular lens, a portrait lens, a short telephoto lens and as a macro-photography lens). If you cannot afford this lens, then I suggest the older but equally as good lens, the Nikkor 35-105mm f/3.5-5.6D-Macro (make sure that it says "Macro" because there's another version is that is not Macro and you do NOT want that other one). You can get fantastic prices on the camera and the lens at www.keh.com and you can get great prices on the batteries for the camera at: http://www.surefire.com/maxexp/main/co_d...

And I will recommend that you see this site and read the information for the Nikon N80:

Good luck and best wishes.
I'm not in the Boston area but.....if you have a Wolfe Camera retailer or similar place, they general offer a free course with the purchase of a camera. I took a course on digital photography this way. Check it out.
N.Y.I The New York Institute of Photography check them out . They have been around for years .
