Photography Course-What Are The Potential Benefits....Career Wise? |
I am doing a taster a on photography tomorrow. The course is 拢300 for one year. I think the qualification is a B-Tech??? Not sure. Anyhow has anyone done one of these courses and reaped any benefits? I need some serious advice. Thank you The photography class i took i found to beneficial throughout my life...while it has yet to make me any money...and it didn't cost quite as much as yours...i have taken some marvelous pictures all over the world and am so glad i took the time to learn that specialty...it has benefited me in ways i never thought. Additionally, when i was supervising a homeless program i was able to really capture the emotion behind the people and it made it easier to get grants etc...i guess it really depends on what career you are going into if it would be a financial benefit to you. I hope this helps... it is hard to make money - but you will learn a lot (depending on the cause) things like meaning of exposure, resolution, digitisation etc and advantages and disadvantes of digital. - you may learn how to process negatives etc. Depending on what field you choose to go into the class could be very beneficial. Some areas such as the sciences use photography pretty consistently. It is always an advantage to have a useful skill. Photgraphy can alo be useful to you in your private life since it can become an interesting hobby and way to "get away" from work. You won't leave and all of a sudden be the finished article, it takes years to really get your style sorted. But it will give you a good grounding, make sure it gives you good traditional skills (lighting), and at least touches on digital. That way you can then try your hand at some assisting, which is where you will really start to learn. |
