How much do photography courses cost? |
How much do photography courses cost? way too much in my opinion! Check with your local community college free if you go through a high school class around 3,000 for a good collage Vocational technical schools and community colleges have courses that are wholly adequate at giving you dark room time and imparting technical expertise. They may or may not be skimpy on art theory, things like composition, etc. --It all depends on how closely they are tied to a larger design course. They can range as low as $200 for a semester's tuition. community college basic photo class... $200 tuition and books $200 camera $150 supplies (film, paper, equip) $ 50 gas for traveling towards shoot sites of interest. $600 total, my estimation of costs...i took this course last in summer '06. And yes, it was worth it. experience. That depends on how in depth the course goes. A university close to where I live offers a continuting education course twice a year that is less than $100 and includes 4-6 evening sessions that are three hours in length and two Saturday shooting sessions that run about 3 hours. A course like that is good for someone who is faily new to the SLR world and needs a basis. I've been shooting for a long time and still learned things that have improved my photography. $80 well spent. |
