Is the link below acceptable behaviour? |
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... The problem arose because the asker asked for a "cheap" $20,000 - 40,ooo piece of equipment, when people pointed out its not cheap the asker loss the plot and started sending out abusive emails - to nice ladies and average guys like me - like an angry drug crazed lunatic. the edits on the question are quite tame actually compared to the emails I have read from this person. Im not going to ask people to explain how the Yahoo people think, but do you think that the linked question and the questioner should be banned? I have have been flagged for much less - posted a picture of Princess Diana in "photography" and asked for comment on it? - they deleted it fined me and refussed to explain? Have yahoo lowered the standards now? Your comments......... Personally I think the person should be in a cell like an animal. I would prefer he were banned. My liberalism doesn't extend so far as to tolerate that type of response. With so many able to post here, though, it is inevitable that one will show up occassionally. I kindly let them know that they are morons - and then report them. As far as yahoo goes, who knows what they think. I have had answers stricken, but never been penalized that I know of. Then, again, I don't pay any attention to points and would have to look to know what they are or what level I'm on. Yahoo answers is something that I do to take a break. I find things that Yahoo does a little strange. Awhile ago, a young (in an old man's terms) photographer posted some links to nudes he had shot. Some were good for where he is at, some so-so and a few were basically snapshots. All were tasteful. All the responses, except for one along the lines of 'I'd hit that!' were on topic and relevant in some fashion. That got cleared out real fast. Then you have this jerk and you don't see much action from Yahoo. Photography is an art & humanities forum. I shudder to think of what would happen if I posted a photo by Weston (Gasp) or Maplethorpe (Faint) that was simply a figure study and asked about how some aspect of it contributed or detracted from it. I took my first male and female nude when I was 16. Oh the horror that thought must inspire in some people. A teen not just looking lustfully at pictures of naked people, but making pictures of two naked people holding each other! No wonder I am such a perv. My mother loved them and put them up in the living room, but I am pretty sure I couldn't link to them here. Yet, each one was the result of studying classical art. The lighting was straight out of Vermeer, who is still my favorite. Funny, huh? By the way Antoni, I'm sorry that I miss expressed myself in the last paragraph of another post. I meant to imply nothing. I had a very complete idea in my head, but I didn't get it down on screen because what I reread wasn't what I was thinking. My bad. Vance I hope you reported him as he has stepped over the edge of decency on this one. Good Lord. The things that upset people. He is obviously distressed by people of less intelligence (or so he thinks) than himself. I agree, He should be in a cell for harassment. Do this in the public scene and some one would probably sue you for slander. Outrageous behavior only made himself look like the idiot. I don't think we should tolerate abusive language or harrassment on here. Would you care to cast a vote on a question? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... Why feed a troll?? Ignore the moron. He's probably masterbating to all the discussion about him. Report it. A padded room might be a better option |
