I need help finding a career?

I'm 18, i left college with 3 average A-levels (Photography, Eng Lit, General Studies). I wanted to be an RAF pilot since i was 12 but got shot down due to my hayfever. I've had a few part-time jobs i never really enjoyed and i'm now working in an office full-time and don't like it at all. I just need some ideas and guidance to get me kick-started and motivated again. P.S I'd love to work with cars, but don't know how to do it with my non specific qualifications and i don't wanna end up being over qualified. Also, i dont wanna sat at a desk for the rest of my life.

Definitely do some part-time internships in totally OFF-THE-WALL fields. Like be a photographers assistant for a month or two, get some production assistant work in the film industry, become a gopher for a PR firm. Literally try out anything and everything that you never even thought you'd be interested in. Try to really commit to the internships though, and do anything you can to make it work since they are usually unpaid. You'll definitely get your foot in the door within a lot of different industries. One of those doors is going to coax your leg to follow your foot, and eventually your whole self. I think the very best way to find out what you want to do with your life is to stop wondering and trying, and just start living more fully, and exploring the world a little more through actually DOING.

Always remember. Anybody can do ANYTHING. Belief is the key. Believe you can do it!! Do what is close to your heart and you find facinating. You need this to give you the ultimate job satisfaction!!

apply to big motor companies, design perhaps. scout about at what jobs they have and look into what the job entails.the raf have civies working for them too, good luck

you could apply to an airline to train as a pilot ...... the money is good and you get to see the world.... and you get the most comfortable seat with the best view .... ;)

i would work where you are at for at least another year. try to save up some money. during this year, i would do some research about taking some great pictures and submitting them to magazines and news papers. [the money that you save will carry your living expenses until you get rolling with your business... doing this will let you be independent with out office hours and a boring job. you can travel and meet fun people and still provide an income for yourself. good luck

Take cars and explore the careers you can do. There is a lot more to it than fixing them.

You'll probably need to attend a Personal Growth workshop in Career Planning and Assessment. You'll be evaluated with matching careers based on your personality type and interests. Have you tried taking one of those workshops in college before?
