What Job Would Be Best For Me? |
I have been really trying to think about my education lately, and what I want to be. My older friend is in college for photography, but I am scared she wont make anything out of it... For a long time I really wanted to be a teacher interior designer, or a therapist. But I heard they make terrible pay. I am NOT good at math, OR Science. I am good at history and English lit though. For awhile I also wanted to work in a museum but I heard that job is low paying. I like people, I like writing, I like helping. I also wanted to be a realitor but I heard a lot of math is involved. And honestly, I SUCK at it. :s How about being an architech? Similar to interior design, but they make pretty good money. May involve a bit more math though. Or, if you want to be a therapist, how about a physical therapist or an occupational therapist. They also make pretty good money. Last thought is, possibly a nurse. They make decent money, help people, and there are many directions you can go with that as your career progresses. Go right for your bachelors though! You should be working as a newspaper editor. THAT'D BE PERFECT! Custodian at a abattoir well, I would go with what you like. If you pick a profession you hate, then you will not do well at it. If you like interior design, take some classes in it, make it your major. You can always change your major. So take some classes that have nothing to do with your major, like astrology, anthropology, hell take welding if you want! You can also go talk to the counselor at the college, and they will test you and give you ideas on which major you should take. Good LUCK! You don't have to be THAT good at math to be a realtor. They don't use algebra. Just start off with an undeclared major and talk to your advisor about it. You desperately need a career counselor. They can give you certain tests that will point you towards what might me a good career for you instead of just guessing and "job hopping" hoping to find your thing. Remember, it is essential to work at a job you enjoy, because no matter how much you are paid, you will be miserable if you hate your job. Good luck. Get yourself to your local technical college and ask to take the ASFAB test. I don't know what that stands for but you take an ungraded test that indicates what you're good at. I pursued my interests for 15 years, but I now find myself employed at a good state job in an area related to what I scored highest on in ASFAB. It's a start, not an end. Good luck, sweetie! Become a publisher. It makes a good amount of money, so I think publishing is the way to go for what you said in your description. I think that you should talk to a guidance counselor about your options. There are career paths out there that you many not have anticipated, such as working a human resource department at a fortune 500 company, being an event planner, a career coach, etc. You could also be a psychologist or a social anthropologist (although that might have a bit of statistical math). Good luck!! Try out some volunteering in an industry that you may be interested in doing. There are so many careers and so hard to choose. There's a web site called career cruising. It helps you research and will evaluate what is suitable for you. Hi, Start with what interests you. Learn more about the careers and positions in that field and how long it takes to work your way up (if it's that type of job). Don't dismiss a career choice because the pay isn't good. Is there a hobby you enjoy that you can use to supplement your income? Are you deadset on living in the city? What if housing is more affordable outside the city, but you live close enough that you can get to work fairly quickly? If you can save up or invest (which option depends on your risk level--savings CDs to options or futures) now and have a comfortable cushion before you start your career that might help a lot. Just go to school, the rest will become clear in the classes you take. real estate agent .the payes good, but then again it deppend in the area that you work in, and you also get a big commision when you sell something and you dont need to be a rocket science to be in that profession.get some nice clothes be a good talker and know some maths and your on your way. hope this helped if not i hope you find some profession that may intrest you,if you dont go for this remeber what would you rather have a job that payes well that heavily streses you out and isolates you from your social life.or a pay thats ok that does not effect you in any way.my friends an agent and he lives like a KING with no stress or worries with a lot of $.he lives in the city by the way in a brand new appartment. Here's an option if you like working with people. Takes work but rewards over time can be great. |
