Is it smart to put your dreams off so you can secure a stable lifestyle?

right now i have an excellent career path, but it is not anything that i would enjoy at all. it pays extreemly well though... i want to do something like photography or get involved into polotics. photography...well that could just be a hobby(my current career path allows no freetime whatsoever for such hobbies). and polotics... well you can't just jump into that can you? so... put off my dreams so i can have stability, even though i don't like the job, and then pursue my dreams? or go into the unknown...?

thanks bimmer, but i'm not getting this great paying job to buy things i don't need. just so i can be finicially stable. i fear if i don't take it i will be dirt poor and life will be a miserable dead-end.

How about you stick with your career path if you are already far along with it and have photography as a hobby. There is always time to switch careers. The average person definately switches careers at LEAST once in their life time.

why would you ever consider working at a job that you don't like even if you are getting money that you will not be able to enjoy. here is how I see it. you are at work most of the time, so why not make what you do most of the time fun or enjoyable. so you don't have enough money to buy the really nice car that you will use for an hour a day or the huge house that you will not hardly see because you are at work hating your job. I say do whatever you can to make life enjoyable even if you are not making alot of money.

Just a few words to make you think. You only have one life. Make the best of it because believe me, one day you will turn around and see that your life is half over and you will ask yourself "why"?. Why didn't i do this or that when i had a chance? Only you know yourself enough to know what is best for you. GOOD LUCK!!
