Becoming a photographer?

I have had a passion for photography all my life. I'm going to tan art high school now. Is there enough jobs for photographers out there? (I would like to do photography as a career)

To be honest, with the ease of cameras nowadays there is a lot of competition! You really have to be good to be able to make it on your own.

Then again, there are many different types of photography that you can get into which can create different opportunities... fashion, sports, nature, portraits, photojournalism, etc.

There are also many opportunities for amateurs who never went to photography school to work in the portrait studios... jc pennys, sears, target, walmart, k-mart... all these places do not require photography school, just good sales!

U have lot of chance.

wow, congratulation, most people do not know what they wanna do until late 40's lol
for photography they have lots of field, what do you like better, taking still life, fast pace action (sports, celebs), take a great event (wedding photographer), and a lot more
so its more into personal preference what do you like in photography, do you like to modify it with software, or not just natural, good luck in your future
