What is a great paying job for someone without a degree?

I'm moving and looking for a job. I am applying all the usual places for someone with no degree, sales, waitering, etc. But frankly I'm sick of being a peeon. I'm quite talented in music, writing and performing, I'm into photography, and I'm an aspiring writer. If I could get work that pays well and is flexible in those fields that would be excelent, but really I just want a good job that is more respectable than retail. One thing that would be cool is a job where I drive all day, alone in a vehicle, but don't need a cdl. Like I said, any ideas are helpful.

Quit dreaming.

Perhaps you could become a photographer? You would be your own boss, and not have to deal with other people. You might contact the local Small Business Administration to help you start your business: http://www.sba.gov/. You could do wedding photography, children's etc.

There are lots of jobs that pay well to support a family that do not need degrees - you could work at a factory, Wal-Mart distribution center, etc.

hey, all of those things you said you are talented at , I am also.

Lets be pro bloggers together and just do what we have a passion for! You might have to work a crap job for awhile but if we can make a awesome blog and we will split the money 50/50 you should have enough to quit your day job.

I have no degree also but am intelligent enough, I am unemployed and sorta early retired(have enough$ not to work), so I have lots of time on my hands and have been trying to come up with what I want to do in life also.
Even if your not computer savvy thats no problem I am andcould handle that part.

Sales. In almost every industry, salespeople make more than everyone in the company except the officers.
Find something you can believe in and enjoy talking about, then go to the people who make it, and ask for a sales job.
In can be a product or a service, or even an idea.
I have made good money as a fund raiser for environmental causes that I believe in strongly.
