If going for a job in a photo lab...? |
and they ask me "Why would we want to employ you?" Does this sound ok?: I am honest, trustworthy, reliable, patient, interested and knowledgeable in photography... sounds fine to me, i like taking pictures and seeing pictures more then the photo lab stuff although its very important as well. You need to elaborate more.... tell them how they can trust you to do a great job without much supervision, take good care of customers, how you can deal with problem customers.... If you really have a personal interest in photography, you might add that too. Just saying you are 'trustworthy" mean nothing. You need to explain why you are saying it and how it is true. Sounds great just please remember Not to inhale the chemicals used in developing the film (also known as inhalants or 'huffing') as that can cause damage to the brain tissue and bone marrow (fatty inner lining of bones) and other major organs such as the heart, liver and kidneys. Good luck with this job lead and I'm hoping that they hire you as you sound dedicated as well as knowledgeable :) For more information on the dangers of inhalants: National Inhalant Prevention Coalition www.inhalants.org Yes, it is a standard question for a photo lab. I don't know why, but every time I have gone for an interview they ask this question. I think it is to see if you are a creative thinker. If you know the job you are going for then you tell them just that. An example: You are trying to get the job in the color print departement. They ask the "why" question and you reply, "You should hire me because I have a good eye for color, I know the difference between adding cyan and reducing yellow. I am an efficient worker who can get the job done accurately even if I am under tight deadlines." |
