How is the job market in Raleigh for photographers and starting Mary Kay? |
I want to start Mary Kay and start my photography business. Is this a risky business? As far as Mary Kay goes, it is not risky at all. There are many that have bad thoughts about Mary Kay or horror stories about the old items collecting dust that they could never sell. Well, it's just like any other business. If you work hard and make smart decisions that fit your needs, you will do well. If you decide to purchase inventory, go small at first until you learn your client base and what products they buy the most. You can always add to inventory later. Also, don't expect to make thousands the first month or two. It takes time to build a clientele. Also, MAKE SURE YOU LIKE YOUR DIRECTOR! That will make or break you. It makes such a huge difference in this business because your director is the person that gives you advice and that you go to for everything. If you don't have someone, feel free to email me and I will connect you with my director. Lastly, remember word of mouth is the best business builder. Let everyone know you sell Mary Kay... You don't have to be pushy, its just like if I loved a restaurant... I would tell everyone. Good luck! Mary Kay is not risky at all. I don't know about photography. I am a Mary Kay consultant, has been really great. You can work it as little or as much as you want. The earning potential is huge, especially if you treat it like a business...meaning get up each day and go to work! :) Plus the company is amazing, and I just love being in it for the company, not to mention the great product and people! It's truly amazing! Plus, the inital investment is only just over $100 and that gets you started with your "starter kit" which is everything you need to get rolling! Have a Consultant Debut to announce that you're a consultant to your friends/family and you're off to the races! Good luck! Training is very plentiful in this company, motivation is great, and you are working with a great product. And who doesn't like to get pampered....come one! :) Good luck with your decision! |
