Why do people assume that because I'm spoiled I'm a bad person? |
The whole spoiled brat thing gets on my nerves. I'm 22 years old and I have a 3 year old daughter Cassi and a 6 month old son Jack. I've been married for 4 years. My husband spoils me and our two kids. He bought me a RAZR phone, a laptop, and a really nice camera (I love photography), he buys me tons of clothes and shoes, and he takes me out to eat at nice restaurants all the time (not fancy, just places like Applebee's and Friday's where it can get kind of pricey). He has a good job though, and being a stay at home mom isn't easy so I feel I deserve it. He also spoils our kids too buying them lots of toys and cute clothes. He makes sure we get to take several vacations a year, he always has. Anyways last week I had a get together at my home and I invited a few friends and his sister. His sister and I got into a spat and she ran her mouth about how I'm a spoiled brat. I've had a few people say that to me before. I don't understand. I'm not whiney or ungrateful. Explain?!?!? People label people a lot of times because of the way they act, you probably act spoiled and then go and show off to your friends. And btw, Applebees and a laptop is not getting spoiled haha, it's funny that you think that it is, those are normal things that lots of people have or do. Also, your husband seems to have poor money managment skills, does he have life insurance, does he have disability insurance, does he own a home, does he have a retirement fund, a college fund and a savings with at least 3-6 months salary put away - probably not. So, he is not spoiling you, he is actually not thinking financially smart and lacks the ability to manage his finances. You probably don't get dinner ready so he says alright, let's just go out and eat instead of saying let's save our money and just have sandwhiches at home tonight. most likely u are cause those who get what they want dont care about those who dont give them what they want look up the definition of spoiled and see that you are bad or rotten.
