I am so confused about my life after high school? |
I am graduating next month and I have no idea what I want to do with my life. I have made up my mind that I am not going to college right now so dont try to change my decision and dont say anything about that. I need to know what kind of job I can get without going to college? I am into photography, child care, animals Well if you take a CPR class you could work as an aide in a day care or preschool environment. Check out your local Wal-mart and other superstores with photo departments for a job doing what you like. Maybe combine two likes and take pictures of kids!! Once you find something you like then it will be easier to decide what to take in college or maybe a training school instead. You can get a job at pretty much any store, but you'd be making minimum wage. You might be able to get a job at some offices being a secretary or something like that. Also, you can try local, small buisnesses. Just wondering why you wouldn't go to college and develop these skills into a profession? If you like animals become a vet, Child care become a teacher or day care teacher photography become a photographer for a magazine. Try to volunteer in each of these Fields over the next year and see if anything sparks an interest for a career you can always go to college in a year from now. Good luck create a portfolio and see if u can get an internship/job at a local newspaper or somethin like that Welcome to my world. Im in the same boat. My HS graduation is coming up on May 25th. Im clueless as to what to do next. I know i wont lead a good life unless i have other educational sources under my belt after HS. Just let time take its toll, and let w/e happens, happen. Be open to new ideas & welcome changes. Ironically enough, i too am interested in Photography, Child Care, Animals, and Cosmotolegy. If you need more sources, go talk to your school counselor, i did, and it helped. Good luck!! In the same boat Congrats on Graduation day. I know how you feel, i graduated in 2005 and had no idea as to what i wanted to study, and here it is 2007 and i still really dont know. But you know check out malls around u and see if any place is hiring. Wal-marts, Targets, Grocery stores. At any of these stores you will only be making minium wage. But when you decide what you want to study, follow your heart. dont do something that you wont like 10 yrs from now, or you dont see yourself doing it. But please dont wait to long to make a decision, because if you wait to long you may not want to go to school and get the education you need. |
