I Need some info please? |
I am interested in the New York Institute of Photography. I was wondering if anyone has gone there and what their experience with the program was? Is it worth the time and money and what kind of jobs did you get offered when you graduated? Contrary to the earlier comment that the info is dated, it's photography, it's not dated. Whether you're shooting film or digital, the basic principals apply, there is no such thing as dated material, only date minds. The material starts you off very basic, so you get a full understanding of Depth of Field, how your lenses actually work, f-stop and shutter speed and how all these things work together to give you the best image you can shoot. By all means take the course. Hang on tight when life shifts the wrong way because if you hang on loosely your bound to break. factmonster.com might help GIVE IT A SHOT! TRY HARD IN SCHOOL ....AND YOU MAY SUCCEED! =) I completed their basic course earlier this year and am now in their advanced tutorial program. I've been shooting for a long time so I've already learned a lot. I felt the course was good. It started at the fundamentals and expanded from there. The materials they give you to read are easy to understand (a little dated) but informative. I had times where I didn't like my instructor but that is pretty normal. |
