Is quitting my job at Culver's being lazy?

I am 15 years old. I work at Culver's. But, I want a break for a while. I don't enjoy Culver's and it is boring. So, I am going to give them a 2-week-notice today and then wait till I turn 16 (Aug. 15) to search for a new job. I want a job that will be fun and exciting (any ideas?). But, in the meantime, my family is going through hard times. We are getting kicked out of our house and I am very stressed out right now. My question is: Is quitting Culver's and having a break from working until I am 16 lazy? And, I don't know what I want to do when I get older. I am quitting school this year to get my G.E.D. and I like photography and filming, but I am not that great. I have no talents and I have no idea what I want to do when I get older. I want to work when I get older, but I can't afford college. Will I still be able to get a job that I like (and what jobs are there for people with no college?) Please help. All the input is greatly appriciated. Thank you.

No, you're not being lazy. Most kids aren't even working when they're 15. In fact, I didn't work at all during my high school years except in the summer. It's best to just enjoy being a kid while you're still a kid; you're only young once. I would strongly reccomend against quitting school, but that's your choice. There are plenty of jobs for people with no college. In fact, the vast majority of people don't have college degrees. But if you want to get a good-paying job, you need marketable job skills. There's all kinds of vocational schools you can go to that will have you trained and certified in a field of your choosing in less than a year, which is a much cheaper alternative to college. Well, good luck and enjoy being a kid while you still are a kid.
Well, there is always Culvers. I recommend getting as much school as possible if you don't like working jobs like Culvers. I'm not saying you can't make it without education, it is possible, but it is an exception rather than the rule. If you don't intend traditional school, learn a trade. Having a particular skill or talent that others don't possess creates leverage, which creates opportunity. Find what you have a passion for. Honestly, college is much different than High school. You can choose what you want to study. Don't worry about money making professions or majors, choose what you truly have a passion for. If that be film or poetry, go for it. If you have passion, no matter what you do, you can succeed. That is my belief.
