How do YOU handle a job you hate? |
Ok I just started working at a financial planning place, a place with things I know nothing about, the thing is I'm going to be a teacher and am in school right now. I'm the type of person who like to be around people not forms, files, and stuff like that. I have to last until next summer, can you give me some tips. More information: * during the summer i work M-W-F 8-5 * I have another part time job doing photography, video editting and fun creative stuff like that. Just give me some tips please. You are paying your dues. This is just a means to get you to what you really love (teaching). Also, you will learn things about finances that will benefit you in life. I used to work for Wells Fargo. It was worse than being unemployed. I lasted for 4 months before I just left and never went back. I did learn things that banks don't reveal to their customers, and I use them quite often. Okay, well, I think that you just need to look at it this way you are only there for the pay and nothing else...Just do your job and go home... not only that the person who does it full time has to do it M - F.... try to find a good part of your job I would think that for 7 dollars an hour, you could work almost anywhere for similar pay. If your job is mind-numbingly dull and you can't wait until the end of the day, next summer might not come fast enough. Look for something else in your spare time. When you find a job you can tolerate, grab it. I wouldn't tell the new employer that you plan to quit next summer. Keep that a secret. Just deal with it until you finish school. I was a teacher and you will be surrounded by forms and files and stuff like that. You will have to work with all sorts of people ie: other teachers, adminstration and parents. It is a good start now to learn how to put up with things that you dont like. I am also working and going to school, i had a desk job i Hated!!!! So i got a job at a restaurant and i love it i have soooo much funa t work and the money is good too. You should quit... LOL ~ Good luck |
