Photography Magazines? |
What are your favorite and most useful photography magazines and why? Actually Ace, I'm not a guy and I haven't had my own darkroom in 24 years. I AM a computer nerd though. You are definitely a darkroom kind of guy. Black and White. I'm new to it, but I'm enjoying "Aperture." It's more about the image and the thought behind it than the technique in making it. It kind of assumes that you are either "at a certain level" or "beyond all that" and want to know more about the creative process. At least that's my take after two issues. It's not chock full of ads for mail order businesses, either. I've subscribed to Shutterbug for years. After Capture's sister publication, Rangefinder, is one of the better ones: I read Adobe's Photoshop magazine--sold at Barnes & Noble, it offers plenty of tips for photography and mainly Photoshop tutorials and advice. |
