I would like to do portraiture (photography) for a living. How should I market myself initially? |
I am trying to help a friend get started. How does she get her name and work out there to receive her first clients? She studied it in school, has a good portfolio & website, but she does not have the money to place an ad in any magazines or local papers. I have so much faith in her work, it really is beautiful. She calls her style photojournalistic. Lets see the website? she could always set herself on a street , and advertise herself, give out fliers and brocures with her work , offer free snaps or a discount and reel them in. business cards, post cards, offer low prices starting and then raise them accordingly |
